Grand prizes claimed for Shop St. Joe; second chance prize numbers announced

On Thursday morning, the St. Joseph Chamber of Commerce sent out a list of second chance numbers for additional prizes for Shop St. Joe.

The grand prize and Small Business Bonus we’re both claimed on Wednesday evening.

The $10,000 prize coming from Murphy’s Smokin’ Meats and the $2,500 Small Business Bonus coming from Niche of Time Jewelry.

Numbers were drawn Wednesday afternoon for a $10,000 grand prize and a $2,500 Shop Small Business bonus as part of the Chamber of Commerce’s annual Shop St. Joseph program.

The winner of the $10,000 prize is ticket number 1534046, and the winner of the $2,500 prize is ticket number 0893059.

Those with the winning tickets had 24 hours to claim their prizes before new numbers were drawn.

Shoppers are urged to hang on to their tickets following the drawing, in the event winners do not come forward by 5 p.m. Thursday.

“I just think it’s so important to show our local retailers exactly how much we support them, not only just during the holidays, but all year round,” said Ashley Albers, the Chairman at the Chamber. 

The winner must be 18 or older and should provide their proof of age, Social Security number, home address and place of employment (if applicable) to claim their prize. The winner will be responsible for any applicable taxes.

Numbers also will be drawn for second-chance prizes offered by various stores.

A press conference will be held at both winning businesses on Thursday.
