Get ready to laugh, skate and rock your way through the weekend. This week’s edition of See St. Joseph has locals returning home with their own brands of entertainment.

For those in desperate need of a mosh pit, Paralandra will be returning to their home state for a concert this Friday, Nov. 22. Powerhouse hard rockers and Springfield natives, Paralandra, are coming to the Cafe Acoustic Concert Hall and they’re bringing their biggest hits including “All Fall Down,” “Despicable,” “Love Will Win” and “For the Record” from their latest album, which has surpassed a million streams. The concert begins at 9 p.m. Friday at Cafe Acoustic, 1918 Frederick Ave. Tickets can be purchased online at stjomo.com.

Grab your closest pals, lace up those skates and celebrate Friendsgiving at B&J Skate Center. An evening of roller skating with friends sounds like a good time, but let’s throw some gratitude in the mix. During the skate, everyone will have the chance to send a heartfelt “I’m Thankful for You” letter along with some treats to a friend. There will also be a BOGO admission so everyone can skate on the cheap. The Friendsgiving Skate will go from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at B&J Skate Center, 6421 N. Belt Highway.

Get ready to laugh until you cry with “Elisabeth Wykert’s Comedy Holiday Spectacular.” Wykert is a St. Joseph local, stand-up comedian, musician and internet personality who has made her way to California and back. She’s been entertaining people for more than 10 years and just wrapped up her “Fupa on Fleek” tour. Now it’s time to return home with some funny friends. Enjoy a night of comedy, music, improv and shenanigans starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Missouri Theater, 717 Edmond St. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door or online at jomotickets.com.
