On Saturday, a new festival visited the Castle Bridge Event Center in St. Joseph.

VikingFest is an interactive festival where attendees are encouraged to dress up and enjoy food, music, history and fantasy.

There were tons of vendors, activities and more for the more than 600 attendees to enjoy.

One of the organizers Finan Svensen, shared that they were grateful for the clear weather, even though it was a little muddy out.

“Last night Thor was banging on his anvil and there was a storm, but then he said today, it will be fine,” Svensen said. “We have good weather.”

Svensen said that he was happy with the turnout and hopes to hold the event again next year.

The event will be going on until midnight tonight, and tickets are still available on the VikingFest website and at the door.
