UPCO helping vaccinate St. Joseph pets

UPCO in St. Joseph hosted an animal vaccination clinic on Saturday.
President of UPCO, Kyle Evans, explained more about the event, which they do around four to five times a year.
“We’re giving out rabies shots as well as the distemper-parvo combos for dogs and cats,” Evans said. “Trying to help some of the dogs that don’t always get out to the vet, help them get their vaccines done and get it reasonably for these people.”
The organization offered $10 vaccinations for dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes, and many community members showed up to get the extra protection for their furry friends.
Evans shared that they offer these low vaccination costs to help as many animals in the community as possible.
“We try to help out,” Evans said. “I mean, it doesn’t really do anything for us, it just helps get the dogs out there vaccinated and help get everybody protected that way.”
UPCO’s next vaccination clinic will be on Saturday, Oct. 12.
