A special fall service will take place next weekend in rural Skidmore, Missouri.
St. Oswald’s in-the-Fields Episcopal Church will have its 126th Harvest Festival beginning at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6. The Rt. Rev Diane M. Jardine Bruce, bishop provisional of West Missouri, will preside and a potluck dinner will follow the service.
Table service and drinks will be provided. Those attending should bring a dish to share.
St. Oswald’s, which was modeled after the founding families’ home church in Grasmere, England, was named to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. Harvest festivals have been held there since 1897.
St. Oswald’s is located in southeast Atchison County at 30996 X Ave. near Skidmore.
