On Saturday morning, a sand volleyball tournament took place at Volley’s to benefit Friends of the Animal Shelter.

11 recreational teams participated in VolleyPaws, with all proceeds going to help shelter animals with veterinary costs, as well as funding future adoption specials. There were also t-shirts for sale and a raffle to help benefit the shelter.

The tournament was a bracket-style competition with two courts going at a time. At the end, the winners received free t-shirts.

There are many animals in the shelter at 701 Lower Lake Road now, and more come in every day. There is a desperate need for donations and adoptions.
