The annual Jewels of St. Joseph Homes Tour is back for its seventh year, offering a glimpse into the city’s most stunning and historic architecture.

Every year, the Historic St. Joseph Foundation hosts the tour to show off homes that are closed to the public for the other 364 days of the year.

This year’s tour, hosted on Sept. 15, will include the Shakespeare Chateau at 809 Hall St., the Garth House at 819 Hall St. and the Robinson House at 631 Hall St. Other locations such as historic libraries and churches will also be featured on the tour.

“We are absolutely thrilled that people are so excited about this opportunity to view some of the finest architecture in the city,” said Isobel McGowan, owner of the Shakespeare Chateau. “We hate turning people away, so we’ve ordered 600 tickets this year. But when those are gone, people will have to wait a whole year until the next tour is held.”

Regularly sold out in past years, The Jewels of St. Joseph tour brings in many locals and visitors from around the region. Tickets are on sale for the Sept. 15 tour, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.historicsaintjosephfoundation.com/.
