Several St. Joseph agencies that help those in need are getting a boost of their own thanks to the support of a local festival.
The Ales West festival raised more than $10,250 to support the work of the Noyes Home, AFL-CIO Adopt a Family Program, Friends of the Animal Shelter, East Side Rotary Club, Community Missions and Kiwanis.
“We are thrilled with the turnout and the community spirit displayed at this year’s Ales West festival,” said Billy Campbell, the event organizer. “Seeing people come together from different states and towns to enjoy and celebrate craft beer while supporting local causes is truly inspiring. We are grateful to everyone who attended, participated, and donated.”
The festival was held June 1 at Coleman Hawkins Park and drew more than 700 attendees. It featured an array of craft beers, local food vendors, and homebrewers.
