New country music festival bringing family fun to Savannah

Country music fans should plan to get out their boots this week for the first-ever Country Backroad Musical Festival.
Taking place in Savannah at Ol’ MacDonald’s Farm and Barnes Acres, guests can look forward to cornhole tournaments, bounce houses, water activities, a petting zoo, fishing derby and much more starting July 4.
On July 5 and 6, 13 country music artists and bands will take the stage. Fans can look forward to seeing the likes of Chiefs’ musical artist Blane Howard and The Voice finalist Ruby Leigh.
“We are just hoping that people come out here and have a good time and get to be outside and enjoy some family time, meet some new friends and get to hear some really good music,” Event Organizer Katie Barnes said.
This will be the first year for the Country Backroad Musical Festival, but Barnes said it won’t be the last.
“We love family-friendly activities out here,” Barnes said. “And so we wanted to give people something fun to do out here as an affordable little getaway … close to home and bringing people into St. Joe and Savannah and hopefully having a good time together.”
Along with several activities and performances, the festival will have food, drink and shopping vendors.
Adult tickets for the festival are $75 while children 12 and under get in for free.
