Walkup Grove Cemetery plans memorial service

A memorial service of worship will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 26, at Walkup Grove Cemetery in Atchison County.

Walkup Grove is a nearly 150-year-old nondenominational cemetery east of Fairfax, Missouri, near Route N and 280th Street.

The worship is sponsored by St. Oswald’s-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church with the Rev. Sidney Breese presiding. Those attending should bring a lawn chair.

Following the service, there will be a potluck dinner at St. Oswald’s. Those attending are asked to bring a dish for the meal.

In case of inclement weather, worship will be held at St. Oswald’s, 30996 X Ave. near Skidmore, Missouri.
