North Side pride will be on full display Saturday in a parade rolling along St. Joseph Avenue.

The Northside parade begins at 10 a.m. on April 27 near Middleton Street and heads north up St. Joseph Avenue to the Northside Complex. Entries will line up at 9 a.m. on Maple Leaf Parkway. It’s free to enter the parade but donations of canned goods for Second Harvest Community Food Bank are accepted.

A cornhole tournament, small amusement rides and food trucks will be set up at the complex at the end of the parade. There also will be sign-ups for a plane ride at Rosecrans Memorial Airport in May.

The Lafayette High School tournament also takes place this weekend from April 26 to 28, with a barbecue in the parking lot on Sunday. Email kevinbristol@sjsd.k12.mo.us for information.
