The Easter Bunny stopped by the Buchanan County Courthouse on Thursday for a little pre-Easter fun.

Members of United Cerebral Palsy gathered on the first floor of the courthouse where they encountered their very own Easter parade. Attendees received an Easter basket, free of charge, which was then stuffed with candy, toys, trinkets and more as they marched through the courthouse.

Smiles and laughter filled the room as everyone put on their bunny ears before entering one of the conference rooms. Upon arrival, everyone was greeted by the Easter Bunny, who took pictures and interacted with the guests. Together they shared cookies and juice while discovering what was inside their baskets.

Attendee Carlton Campbellom said his favorite part was getting candy and taking pictures with the Easter Bunny.

“I have never met the Easter Bunny before. It was actually my first,” Campbellom said. “It’ll be a memory to be treasured. I’ll never forget him.”

He mentioned how he was excited to see his favorite candy in his Easter basket.

“It’s milk chocolate without almonds,” he said.

For attendee, Derek Meyers, he said his favorite part was the parade itself. Meyers also received some of his favorite candy, which is Reese’s.

“I like all the goodies,” Meyers said.
