The St. Joseph gun and knife show kicks off with a bang.
Attendees from all across the area came together at the Civic Arena to showcase their love for all things guns, knives, ammunition and more.
However, it’s not just guns. There’s also booths selling treats, clothing, purses, leatherwear etc. There’s definitely something for everyone.
Attendee, Larry Edwards, says his favorite part is seeing all the gadgetry and feeling the sense of community.
“Just a lot of good people. Very friendly, very congenial here,” Edwards said.
In his spare time, Edwards hunts elk, deer and bears. The gun and knife show allowed him to shop for the proper tools needed for hunting.
“There’s quite a bit. Quite a selection,” he said.
Edwards says he’s been attending the gun and knife show for years. Today, he bought some toys, food and clothes for his grandkids.
For those questioning if they should attend this gun and knife show, Edwards says to come on down.
“I would recommend coming to see what’s going on,” he said.
“There are a lot of things that aren’t necessarily guns but related to outdoor supplies and boots and clothes and things that you can wear outside.”
The gun and knife show will also be open Sunday the 24th, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased at the arena. $13 for adults. $5 for kids ages 6-12.
