Persisterhood meeting set for Wednesday

“The Truth: How Corporate Agribusiness is Destroying the Midwest” is the topic of this month’s Persisterhood St. Joseph meeting.

The group gathers at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the Rolling Hills Library’s Upper Story Room, 1904 N. Belt Highway.

Chris Jones, author of “The Swine Republic, Struggles with Truth about Agriculture and Water Quality,” will speak and autograph copies of his book.

The meeting also will include an update about the current legislative session. a community-wide anti-plastic campaign and a petition drive to collect signatures to get abortion rights on the 2024 ballot in Missouri.
