Chiefs secure dynasty with Super Bowl win

By Kendra Simpson

Tensions were high for Chiefs fans at D&G bar Sunday evening as they waited for the final score of Super Bowl LVIII.

With only seconds left in overtime, the Chiefs claimed their victory for their team, their city and fans across the nation.

Fireworks could be heard all over St. Joseph mere seconds after the final touchdown by receiver Mecole Hardman.

Enthralled by the win, Missouri Western announced a campus closure for Wednesday, Feb. 14, so fans could celebrate the victory at the Super Bowl parade near Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Chiefs have now secured their spot in football history, earning two Super Bowl championships in a row with four total under their belt.

The latest nail-biting win leaves the Chiefs with three Super Bowl victories in just five years, securing their legendary dynasty.
