Women making a difference to speak at Persisterhood meeting

Persisterhood St. Joseph will host women making a global difference who have local connections at its upcoming meeting.

The gathering is planned for 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. meets Wednesday, Jan. 24, at Rolling Hills Library’s Upper Story Room, 1904 N. Belt Highway.

Speakers are Andrea Cole, St. Joseph Our Revolution elections steward and 2022 “1 in 4” Abortion Rights Rally coordinator, describing the status of the initiative petition drive to let Missourians vote to restore abortion rights; Rep. Ashley Aune, Democratic Minority Whip, detailing actions underway in the Missouri Legislature; and Leslie Stone, director of diversity and inclusion at Missouri Western State University, talking about the work of her office.

The public is invited.
