Randy Travis coming to St. Joseph

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- A country music legend is set to perform in St. Joseph in September.
Randy Travis is bringing his “More Life Tour” to the Missouri Theatre on Saturday, Sept. 20. He is taking the stage for the Performing Arts Association's first show of the 2025/2026 season.
Travis will tell stories alongside his original touring band and special guest vocalist James Dupré. Although Travis is no longer able to perform vocally due to the effects of a 2013 stroke, he will take the stage with his wife, Mary, sharing moments with the audience and celebrating his music.
There will be live performances of songs including “Forever and Ever, Amen,” “On the Other Hand” and “Three Wooden Crosses” and video highlights spanning Travis’ career.
The executive director of the Performing Arts Association, Paul Storiale, said that he is excited to welcome Randy Travis to the Missouri Theater.
"We are delighted to bring Randy Travis to St. Joe," Storiale said. "It's basically just a celebration of his life and his career and he wanted to kind of hang out with his fans a little bit."
Storiale explained why they wanted to bring Randy Travis to St. Joseph.
"St. Joe is a music-loving city with many different tastes and we try to kind of quench the thirst of those musical tastes," Storiale said. "It's been a while since we've had something like this and it's gonna be really nice to see some cowboy hats in the seats."
