The Albrecht-Kemper Museum features two new exhibits highlighting the golden age of St. Joseph architecture and the art of the camera.

“The Architecture of St. Joseph: The Golden Age Revisited” exhibit puts a new spin on an exhibit originally mounted in 1974. This latest version features the original 85 photographs supplemented with new ones that reflect the preservation and losses of the last 50 years.

Guests also can see architectural elements salvaged from renovated and demolished buildings, including the gargoyle mounted on the Robidoux Hotel from 1908 to 1976.

Along with the “Golden Age Revisited” collection, the museum also opened “The Art of the Camera” exhibit on Friday. This collection, temporarily donated by the Hatten family, spans more than a century of camera design and technology featuring familiar brands like Kodak and Nikon, as well as rare and unique cameras from Japan and Russia.

These exhibits will be on display through Thursday, Aug. 15.
