Proms of the past to be featured in museum program

As prom season wraps up in the area, a program set for Saturday takes a look at the history of the annual high school tradition.

“A Look Back At Prom” will be the subject of a presentation at 10:30 a.m. May 4 at the Andrew County Museum, 202 E. Duncan Drive in Savannah. The talk will look back at the fashion, themes, music and fun of proms through the years, featuring dresses and memorabilia from events of the 1950s through the 2000s accompanied by the music that would have been popular in those years.
