‘Symphoni Mini’ set for Sunday

Fans of the Saint Joseph Symphony can get a sample of the orchestra’s sound at a special event this weekend.

“Symphoni Mini II,” a recital for cello and piano spotlighting principal cellist Eman Chalshotori and pianist Melody Stroth, is set for 3 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 28, at Ashland United Methodist Church, 2711 Ashland Ave.

Pieces performed will include “In the Bleak Midwinter,” “O Waly Waly,” “What Wondrous Love Is This” and “Over the Rainbow.”

The “Symphoni Mini” series provides players and friends the opportunity to showcase their musical talents in small ensembles and intimate settings.
