What are you looking for?
By Submitted by Gwen Merrick
Vultures and hummingbirds can be seen flying over the landscapes of most of North America. Vultures’ keen eyesight helps them spot rotting meat, because that is what they look for. It’s what they thrive on. In contrast, hummingbirds ignore the stinking flesh of dead animals. They look for colorful blossoms instead. Vultures live on what was, filling themselves with what’s dead and gone. But hummingbirds live on what is filling themselves with freshness and life. Each bird finds what it’s looking for. We all do.
