Meet our MU Extension Buchanan County team

Todd Higgins is a Field Specialist in Horticulture who has been with the MU Extension for one year. However, he brings extensive experience as an Emeritus Master Gardener. His primary focus has been on establishing a new Extension Master Gardener program in Platte County and supporting existing programs in Clinton and Buchanan Counties. Todd enjoys helping homeowners and growers solve gardening issues, which he considers his favorite part of his role.

Todd is planning to expand his impact by developing a specialty corn track for the Great Plains Growers Conference and organizing heritage corn workshops. Additionally, he is dedicated to providing meaningful horticulture programming tailored to the specific needs of the communities he serves.
