A farmer’s life
By Thomas Kirschner Submitted to Corner Post
The sun and a farmer awake together
He heads to the tractor coffee in hand
Now he’s headed to the big field
Ready to start plowing his land
Meanwhile down the road
Another farmer starts his day
The cows are all milked
Time to bale some hay
While all this is going on
Let’s visit farmer Frank
He’s a cattle farmer every day
Right now he’s putting water in their tank
Now it’s time to remind you
Of a key ingredient in a farmer’s life
It’s probably the deciding factor
It’s known as the farmer’s wife
She’ll drive the truck to load grain
She’ll bring him lunch in the field
She’ll gas all the equipment by noon
Hours before her sweet side’s reveal
A farmer is not a 9 to 5 guy
His day runs from sun up to sun down
So remember a farmer in your prayers
They’re pretty important to keep around
