DACPAC participates in Sheer Elite dance competition

The Dance Arts Center Performing Arts Company (DACPAC) participated in the Sheer Elite dance competition in April. DACPAC received the awards below: 

Groups

• “Toy Story” was a hip hop dance performed by Cara Buhman, Claire Bolinger, Elizabeth Chavez, Elliana Beck, Emilee Dilley, Henry Pilgram, Holly Johnson, Jude KImmel, Rory Bolinger, and Sydney Miljavic. “Toy Story” received an Emerald and placed 5th overall in the Junior Novice category. 

• “New Shoes” was a tap dance performed by Brianna Rosenthal, Cadence Larson, Camden Buhman, Guinnyth Quick, Izzy Lawyer, Kelly Johnson, and Zoe Cox. “New Shoes” received an Emerald and placed 1st overall in the Pre-teen Compete category. 

• “Independent Women” was a jazz dance performed by Ali Everett, Brynlee Safley, Grace Mosiman, Kiley Caton, Mollie Miller, Olivia Beaver, Piper Newey, Sophie Reno, Taylor Patton, and Wendy Lippincott. “Independent Women” received an Emerald and placed 5th in the Teen Compete large group category. 

• “Our Favorite Son” was a musical theater dance performed by Allison Kulhmann, Annabeth Lippincott, Brianna Rosenthal, Cadence Larson, Camden Buhman, Ellie Pilgram, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Jessica White, Lilly Reno, Mireya Dickinson, Sydney McLaughlin, Sam Ward, and Zoe Cox. “Our Favorite Son” received a Diamond, placed 2nd in the Teen Compete large group category, and won the choreography award. 

• “Heartbreaker” was  a jazz dance performed by Ellie Pilgram, Grace Mosiman, Hannah Damery, Izzy Lawyer, Jessica White, Olivia Beaver, Sophie Reno, Taylor Patton, and Wendy Lippincott. “Heartbreaker” received a Diamond and placed 1st overall in the Teen Compete small group category.

Monsters Inc was also the highest scoring dance in the Compete category.  

• “Icons” was a hip hop dance performed by Alice Brewka, Brynlee Safley, Carly Ward, Chloe Buhman, Ella Ham, Elliot DeSchepper, Hadley Blake, Hannah McBride, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Lexi Perkins, Meredith Fite and Mia Seiter. “Icons” received an Emerald and placed 2nd in the Senior large group category.  

• “Hide & Seek” was a contemporary dance performed by Alice Brewka, Briley Lindstrom, Brynlee Safley, Chloe Buhman, Elina Sherman, Ella Ham, Ella Quick, Elliot DeSchepper, Hadley Blake, Hannah McBride, Jace Keling, Kaitlyn Sale, Lily Phillips, Malia Safley, Mia Seiter, and Olivia Beaver. “Hide & Seek” received a Diamond and placed 1st in the Senior large group category.  

• “See Line Woman” was a tap dance performed by Elina Sherman, Elliot DeSchepper, Hannah McBride, Lily Phillips, and Malia Safley. They received an Emerald and placed 5th in the Senior category. 

• “Pas de Cafe” was a contemporary dance performed by Alice Brewka, Briley Lindstrom, Briley Lindstrom, Ella Ham, Hannah McBride, Lexi Perkins, Lily Phillips, and Reina Rodriguez. They received an Emerald and placed 4th in the Senior Category. 

Duets/Trios 

• Heidi Goettemoller & Kamille Silcott performed a jazz duet to “Express Yourself”. They received an Emerald and placed 5th overall in the Junior Compete duo category.  

• Holly Johnson & Henry Pilgram performed a tap duet to “I Won’t Dance”. They received an Emerald and placed 2nd overall in the Junior Compete duo category.  

• Hannah Damery & Ellie Pilgram performed a contemporary duet to “The Villain”. They received an Emerald and placed 4th overall in the Teen Compete category. 

• Mireya Dickinson & Izzy Lawyer performed a Hip Hop duet to “Gimme that Wall to Wall” and received a Titanium. 

• Olivia Beaver & Mollie Miller performed a Jazz duet to “Do It Like This”. They received a Diamond and placed 2nd in the Teen Compete duo category. 

• Ali Everett & Sam Ward performed a Jazz duet to “Good to Go”. They received a Diamond, placed 3rd in the Teen Compete duo category, and received the “Dynamic Duo” judges award. 

• Zoe Cox & Brianna Rosenthal performed a contemporary duet to “Rainbow” and received a Titanium. 

• Izzy Lawyer & Taylor Patton performed a tap duet to “Jailhouse Rock” and received an Emerald. 

• Mireya Dickinson, Allison Kulhmann & Joelle Salsberry performed a jazz trio to “Pink Friday Girls”. They received a Titanium and placed 2nd in the Teen Compete trio category. 

• Elliot DeSchepper & Jace Keling performed a contemporary duet to “Glory”. They received a Diamond and placed 4th in the Teen Elite category.  

• Rory Bolinger & Emilee Dilley performed a jazz duet to “Bff’s”. They received a Titanium and placed 5th overall in the Pre-Teen Compete category. 

• Camden Buhman & Kelly Johnson performed a tap duet to “Mack the Knife”. They received a Diamond and placed 1st overall in the Pre-teen Compete category.  

• Ella Ham & Mia Seiter performed a contemporary duet to “You’re Gonna Go Far”. They received a Diamond and placed 1st in the Senior Compete category.

• Brianna Rosenthal performed a tap solo to “Footloose”. She received an Emerald and placed 3rd overall in the Pre-teen Compete category. 

• Briley Lindstrom performed a contemporary solo to “Blue” and received an Emerald.  

• Brynlee Safley performed a jazz solo to “Wildside” and received an Emerald.  

• Cadence Larson performed a contemporary solo to “Blackbird” and received a Titanium. 

• Camden Buhman performed a tap solo to “Leavin”. He received an Emerald and placed 4th overall in the Pre-Teen Compete category.  

• Carly Ward performed a contemporary solo to “Out of Hiding”. She received a Diamond and placed 5th overall in the Teen Compete category.  

• Chloe Buhman performed a contemporary solo to “Monalisa” and received an Emerald. 

• Elina Sherman performed a tap solo to “Honey Dripper”. She received a Diamond, placed 4th the the Elite Senior category and won the “Style” award. 

• Ella Ham performed a jazz solo to “Queen” and received an Emerald. 

• Elliana Beck performed a contemporary solo to “This Wish” and received an Emerald. 

• Elliot DeSchepper performed a contemporary solo to “I Am”. She received a Diamond, placed 2nd in the Teen Elite category and received the “Fierce Feet” judges award.  

• Emilee Dilley performed a musical theater solo to “Today’s Gonna be a Great Day” and received a Titanium. 

• Grace Mosiman performed a contemporary solo to “Youth” and received a Titanium. 

• Hannah Damery performed a tap solo to “Dancin Fool”. She received a Diamond and placed 4th overall in the Teen Compete category.  

• Hannah McBride performed a tap solo to “Le Tap” and received a Diamond.  

• Henry Pilgram performed a contemporary solo to “Start a Fire”. He received a Diamond, placed 1st overall in the Junior Compete category. He also received the “exquisite” judges award, was the Vickie Sheer winner, and had the highest scoring dance in the Junior Compete category.

• Izzy Lawyer performed a contemporary solo to “Hometown Glory” and received an Emerald.  

• Jaydaci Garcia-Williams performed a hip hop solo to “Not Like Us” and received an Emerald. 

• Jaydaci Garcia-Williams performed a tap solo to “Powerful”. She received a Diamond, the “Fire” judges award, and placed 2nd overall in the Teen Compete category.  

• Jude Kimmel performed a tap solo to “Name in Lights”. He received a Diamond, placed 1st overall in the Pre-Teen Novice category and had the highest scoring dance in the novice solo/duo/trio category. 

• Kaitlyn Sale performed a contemporary solo to “Pollution”. She received a Diamond and placed 1st in the Teen Compete category.  

• Kiley Caton performed a jazz solo to “Soy Yo”. She received an Emerald, placed 3rd overall in the Senior Compete category, and received the “Flavor” judges award. 

• Lexi Perkins performed a hip hop solo to “Last One” and received an Emerald. 

• Lexi Perkins performed a contemporary solo to “Praying” and received an Emerald. 

• Lily Phillips performed a contemporary solo to “The Face”. She received a Diamond and placed 3rd in the Elite Senior category. 

• Malia Safley performed a lyrical solo to “Rhythm of the Rain” and received an Emerald.  

• Meredith Fite performed a contemporary solo to “Flickers” and received an Emerald.  

• Mia Seiter performed a contemporary solo to “Slow Me Down” and received a Diamond. 

• Mireya Dickinson performed a contemporary solo to “Flowers” and received a Titanium. 

• Mollie Miller performed a jazz solo to “These Boots” and received an Emerald.

• Sam Ward performed a contemporary solo to “I See Fire”. He received a Diamond and placed 1st overall in the Pre-teen Compete category. 

• Sophie Reno performed a jazz solo to “Looking at Me”. She received a Emerald and the “Fabulous” judges award. 

• Sydney McLaughlin performed a hip hop solo to “Telephone” and received a Titanium. 

• Taylor Patton performed a contemporary solo to “Fear of Water” and received a Titanium.  

• Zoe Cox performed a jazz solo to “It’s Still Rock & Roll To Me” and received a Titanium.
