Big Brothers Big Sisters plans benefit

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- Community members can bid on auction items while helping youth in St. Joseph at a benefit event later this month.

Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Joseph is hosting its Empower Auction on Saturday, March 22. The event also will spotlight outstanding members of the community as Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Empower Honorees.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m. at the inspireU Children's Discovery Center, 521 Felix St., will include a silent and live auction, live music, an open bar and food.

The honorees this year are Lute and Lauren Atieh, Natalie Hawn, Todd Joe and Chris Roush.

Tickets can be purchased at empowerauction.com for $50 a person.
