The John Corby division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians has donated $1,120 to the Samaritan Center.

Dr. Robert Corder of the Center accepted the check from Dennis Delaney, president of the Hibernians. Among those present were Lelanie Delaney, wife of Dennis, and their son Keenan, to the right of Doctor Corder.

The contribution was from money raised at a silent auction at the spring Devin Delaney Memorial road bowling event. Mrs. Delaney personally solicited items for the auction.

“Our primary mission has been feeding the hungry, through Second Harvest, and supporting Catholic education,” Dennis Delaney explained. “However, our overall focus is to help the community in any way we can, and this donation is a reflection of that policy.”

The Hibernians sponsor two road bowling events annually, one in the spring, another in the fall.
