Dance Arts Center Performing Arts Company participates in Dance Masters of America Performing Arts Competition

The Dance Arts Center Performing Arts Company participated at the Dance Masters of America Performing Arts Competition in March. The studio received the following awards:
Groups:
- “Another One Bites the Dust” was a jazz dance performed by Grace Mosiman, Hannah Damery, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Jessica White, Maggie Musser, Mireya Dickinson, Mollie Miller, Quinlan Crowley and Wendy Lippincott. The dance received a Gold.

The dance received a Platinum, placed third overall and received the “Disco Vibes” judge’s award.
- “DMX” was a hip hop dance performed by Alice Brewka, Avery Pasley, Carly Ward, Chloe Buhman, Ella Ham, Elliot DeSchepper, Hadley Blake, Hannah McBride, Jaydaci Garcia-Williams, Lexi Perkins, Lily Phillips and Zoey Hawkins. The dance received a Platinum and placed second overall in their category.
- “Faith” was a jazz dance performed by Elliana Beck, Emilee Dilley, Heidi Goettemoeller, Henry Pilgram and Holly Johnson. The dance received a Gold.
- “Marry the Night” was a jazz dance performed by Grace Mosiman, Izzy Lawyer, Mireya Dickinson and Quinlan Crowley. The dance received a Gold and the “heart of gold” judge’s award.
- “Purple Rain” was a contemporary dance performed by Ali Everett, Briley Lindstrom, Brynlee Safley, Claire Phillips, Ella Ham, Elina Sherman, Elliot DeSchepper, Hadley Blake, Hannah McBride, Kaitlyn Sale, Malia Safley and Olivia Beaver. The dance received a Platinum, placed sixth overall in their category and received the “Stunning” judge’s award.
- “Take the World by Storm” was a contemporary dance performed by Allison Kulhman, Annabeth Lippincott, Brianna Rosenthal, Cadence Larson, Camden Buhman, Finn DeSchepper, Izzy Lawyer, Lilly Reno and Zoe Cox. The dance received a Gold.
- “This Will Be” was a tap dance performed by Claire Phillips, Elina Sherman, Ellie Pilgram, Elliot DeSchepper, Hannah Damery, Hannah McBride, Kelly Johnson, Malia Safley and Piper Newey. The dance received a Platinum and placed ninth overall in their category.
- “Wind it Up” was a jazz funk dance performed by Ali Everett, Alice Brewka, Avery Pasley, Briley Lindstrom, Chloe Buhman, Claire Phillips, Lily Phillips, Malia Safley, Mollie Miller and Rebecca White. The dance received a Platinum and placed eighth overall in their category.
Duos and Trios:
Emilee Dilley and Elliana Beck performed a musical theater duet and received a Gold.
Heidi Goettemoeller and Henry Pilgram performed a contemporary duet and received a Gold.
Ellie Pilgram and Hannah Damery performed a contemporary duet and received a Gold and placed tenth overall.
Annabeth Lippincott and Sam Ward performed a jazz duet and received a Platinum, placed third overall in their category and seventh overall in the 12 and under division.
Camden Buhman and Finn DeSchepper performed a tap duet and received a Gold, placed eighth overall in their category and received the “Steal the Show” judge’s award.
Brianna Rosenthal and Zoe Cox performed a musical theater duet and received a Gold and placed ninth overall in their category.
Ali Everett and Olivia Beaver performed a contemporary duet and received a Platinum and placed eighth overall in their category.
Wendy Lippincott and Kelly Johnson performed a tap duet and received a Gold and placed ninth overall in the category.

In February, several soloists from DACPAC participated in the Dance Masters of America Title Competition. The Title competition includes classes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Modern, an interview with the judging panel and performing a solo.
- Camden Buhman was named Junior Mr. Dance 2024 for Dance Masters Chapter 28.
- Elliot DeSchepper received the Interview high score for the Teen division.
- Hannah McBride received the high score for the tap class in the Miss division and was part of the top 8.
- Elina Sherman was third runner up in the Miss Division.
Camden will travel to Anaheim, CA this summer to compete for the Dance Masters national Title Competition.
