The Buchanan County Democratic Women’s Club upcoming meeting
The Buchanan County Democratic Women’s Club (BCWDC) meets on Tuesday, September 24, at 12 noon at San Jose Steakhouse (4015 S. Belt) in St. Joseph. Speakers include Barbara Pfifer, Missouri Secretary of State Democratic Candidate, and Andrew Gibson, Missouri House District 10 Candidate. Members will amake endorsement recommendations for the proposed Amendment A and five Missouri constitutional amendments on the November 5 election ballot. BCWDC Meetings are open to the public and media. Attendees are welcome to come at 11:30 AM to order from the menu. Persisterhood upcoming meeting
Turning out local support for the “Yes on 3” constitutional amendment to reinstate abortion rights and reproductive freedoms will be the focus for Persisterhood’s Wednesday, September 25 meeting at Rolling Hills Library’s Upper Story Community Room 904 N. Belt Hwy. Doors & Zoom open at 5:45; program starts at 6 PM. Blue Missouri Director/Speaker Jessica Piper headlines the meeting along with State Representative Ashley Aune and Cydney Puckett, creator of the “Herzog-free SJSD” FB page and activist for “Yes on Amendment 3” to restore women’s reproductive rights.
