Jess DeHaven

Jess DeHaven is the assistant news director at News-Press NOW and leads its content team.

She has worked in this newsroom since 1994, reporting on police, courts and city and government before moving into leadership roles.

Jess is a proud graduate of the University of Kansas and is excited that her daughter is following in her footsteps there.

When she's not in the newsroom, she enjoys following Jayhawk basketball, reading, traveling and keeping up with the British royal family. Jess serves on the boards of the St. Joseph Figure Skating Club and the United Way of Greater St. Joseph.
