Chris Fortune

Chris Fortune joined the team at News-Press NOW in June 2023 and works as a reporter and weekend anchor. 

Chris covers Buchanan County and court business, but he also covers other stories in the area as well. 

Born in New Jersey, Chris made his way to Kansas and went to high school at Shawnee Mission West before graduating from the University of Kansas William Allen White School of Journalism.  

Chris was a general assignment reporter for the Eudora Times in college and he interned at KCUR, an NPR affiliate in Kansas City. Now, he’s excited to be telling stories that are important to the St. Joseph community.
