Leah Rainwater

Leah Rainwater is an Anchor and Multimedia Journalist who covers education and health and wellness stories at News-Press NOW. She has worked at News-Press since June of 2024, after previously working at KOMU 8 News in Columbia, Missouri as a weekend News Anchor and Reporter. 

Leah received her bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri (MIZ) in May of 2024.

Leah is originally from Liberty, Missouri, where her love of journalism began with her involvement in the broadcast program at Liberty High School. 

When not in the newsroom, Leah enjoys trying out new coffee spots, spending time with her family and friends and getting to snuggle with her two-year-old lab mix, Daphne.
