Crouse leaving City Council

The St. Joseph City Council has a vacancy following the resignation of one of its members.
District II Councilman Taylor Crouse’s departure from the city’s governing body is effective immediately. He cited changes in his family life that will lead to him moving outside the boundaries of his district as the reason for his resignation.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve the residents of District II,” Crouse said. “I plan to continue my presence in St. Joseph through my insurance business and as a real estate agent.”
Officials will share information about how the opening will be filled soon.
“On behalf of the City Council, I want to express my thanks to Taylor for his service to the community and wish him well in his future endeavors,” Mayor John Josendale said.
