Pay taxes somewhere

Two Republican governor candidates want to eliminate income tax. But in states who don’t have income tax, in Wyoming, it costs hundreds of dollars a year to register your vehicle. So, they’re going to pay a tax somewhere.

for the price

This is about Lake Contrary dredging. I was at the meeting. It all sounds great except for the price tag. There’s just something about spending $7 to $9 million for dredging that lake to six feet deep when I think we all know and kind of suspect that the lake isn’t going to be very deep. They said it would vary according to how deep the river is, and the river has been really low for 10 years, except for the isolated floods in 2019 and 2011. So, it’s an awful lot of money, and that doesn’t include improvements, I think, afterwards. And there’s always going to be cost overruns. It’s always going to be more than dredging.
