Tracking late-week rain chances, and a cool-off
Dry, warm, and breezy conditions will prevail across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Thursday evening, as a low pressure system tracks well north of the area keeping any risk for strong to severe thunderstorms along and north of the Iowa border. Overnight lows will only fall into mid to low 60s late, with south winds at 15 to 25 mph and partly cloudy to mostly clear skies. Friday will bring an increase in cloud cover and a 20% to 30% chance of PM showers. Northwest winds at 10 to 20 mph will filter in cooler air through the course of Friday, with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s. Cloudy skies, cooler air, and rain chances will stick around on Saturday ahead of widespread rain forecast to overspread the region Easter Sunday as a wave of low pressure pushes in from the south. Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will run a few degrees below average, as highs will remain in the low 60s to upper 50s through the weekend.
