John Corwin

OMAHA, Neb. – John Corwin, 79, passed away on April 13, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska.

A U.S. Army veteran, he enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, playing the guitar, casino trips, and Nebraska sports.

Preceded in death by his parents, Tolbert and Dorothy Corwin, and sisters, Susan Metzger and Barbara Coleman.

Survivors include son, Pete Corwin; and daughters, Erica Corwin (Corrie Roul) and Melissa Toberer (Tim Toberer); grandchildren, Cody Corwin and Madison Corwin; numerous nieces and nephews; devoted caregiver for five years Delaney Dodson; and his best feathery friend, Buddy.

A private service will be held at a later date. Interment at Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Heartland Avian Rescue Project. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
