SAVANNAH, Mo. – Jeffrey L. Hoyt, 59, of Savannah, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home in early February.

He was born on May 21, 1964, in South Gate, California, to George F. Hoyt and Barbara C. (Anderson) Hoyt.

Mr. Hoyt was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son, Josh Hoyt (Skylar); daughter, Madison Hoyt; sister, Tracy Fothergill (Curt); brother, Mark Hoyt (Shannon); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey attended and graduated from Savannah High School. During his career, he was the store manager at Wal-Mart and owned Heaven’s Best Carpet Cleaning.

During his spare time, Jeffrey loved to paint, fish and spend time with his kids. He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. Jeff was quick witted, an avid story teller and loved to make people laugh. He will be dearly missed.

Celebration of Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. There will be a private family Inurnment at Bennett Lane Cemetery at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society. As published in the St. Joseph News-Press.
