Meet Soldier!

Soldier has been a warrior in his young life, fighting on the front lines and keeping his territory safe. Now Soldier is ready to hang up his medals and retire to a comfy couch and civilian life. This handsome five-year-old gray and white boy became an instant shelter favorite with his loving demeanor and resiliency. Soldier was brought in with a bite or abrasion on his front paw, deep enough to have caused a positive FIV reaction, which comes from another cat. FIV cats can live normal, happy lives with vet care if they develop sniffles. It`s obvious Soldier was a beloved family member at one time because he adores people, especially when they give him head scritches. His purrs will delight you and this brave Soldier`s loyalty will thrill you.

Meet Honey Cake!

Honey Cake is a 1-year-old 35lb pitbull mix that is every bit as sweet as her name! She has a beautiful, sleek brown coat and the most endearing, ADORABLE ears. Honey-cake came to the shelter in obvious need of TLC, much thinner than her ideal body weight. But this sweetheart of a pup is resilient! In spite of any hardship she’s endured, she is a loving, trusting soul. Honey-cake has been gaining weight and making lots of new friends throughout her journey with the shelter! She has an outgoing fun personality and LOVES to snuggle too. Honey-cake can often be found cozy on a blanket, curled up with a soft plushy toy. She would enjoy a leisurely life and loving home, where she can continue to flourish, thrive and meet her best potential! Honey-cake is gearing up to graduate the Puppies for Parole program and is: housetrained, leash-trained, crate-trained, well-mannered AND knows all her basic commands.
