Tracking a mild and breezy late-week

A warm and breezy Wednesday afternoon will give way to cooler and calmer conditions overnight, with a 20% chance of stray showers after sunset. Lows tonight will fall into the mid to upper 40s with light northwest breezes at 5 to 10 mph. Mostly sunny and windy conditions will prevail on Thursday, with highs warming to the upper 60s and northwest winds at 15 to 25 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 30 mph Thursday afternoon. Any chance for showers and thunderstorms will remain east of I-35 Thursday following abundant sunshine and no chance for precipitation through the rest of the work week and into the weekend. Seasonably mild conditions Friday will give way to well above average temperatures this weekend, as 70s and 80s return to the forecast Saturday and Sunday.
