The Saint Joseph Symphony holds many performances throughout the year, all of which are possible thanks to funding from the Allied Arts Council.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (News-Press NOW) -- The Allied Arts Council is hosting its annual Arts Fund Campaign to support its seven funded agencies that bring the arts to St. Joseph.

Whether it's the latest symphony performance, an award-winning musical or educating kids on the magic of the theatre, the Allied Arts Council is asking the public for help funding their many programs.

The Allied Arts Council funds seven non-profits in St. Joseph with grants through the Arts Fund: The Allied Arts Council, Creative Arts Production, Performing Arts Association, Robidoux Resident Theatre, Saint Joseph Symphony, St. Joseph Community Chorus and the St. Joseph Youth Chorale.

In addition to fostering local arts, investment in the Allied Arts Council also helps strengthen Buchanan County's economy and community well-being.

This year's campaign's theme is "Now is the Time" with a goal of $220,000.

Community members can donate to the Arts Fund by call 816-233-0231, by emailing artsfund@stjoearts.org or visiting the website at stjoearts.org.
