Stacy Stains, 64, St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, of multiple health problems.

She was born May 25, 1959, in St. Joseph, to Charles and Shirley (Shalz) Kline.

She worked in data processing in the health care field for 37 years.

Stacy was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Josh Stains; and sister, Kathy Freeman.

Survivors include siblings, Vivian Jones (James), Jennifer Juhl (J.R.), Brenda Kirkland (Donald), and James Kline (Kimberely), all of Wathena, Kansas, Stephanie Clark, of Atchison, Kansas, and Gregory Kline (Shirley), of St. Joseph; brother-in-law, David Freeman, of Wichita, Kansas; multiple nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and beloved cat, Zella.

Memorial Mass 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wathena. Inurnment Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wathena. Visitation 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service, with a Parish Rosary at 12:30 p.m.

The family suggests memorial gifts to the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.
