Dara Sue Griffin, 70, of St. Joseph, passed away Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, in St. Joseph. She was born Dec. 6, 1953, in St. Joseph, daughter of the late Mildred and Glenn Roberts. She graduated from Mid-Buchanan High School and worked at the Chase Candy Company, Stetson Hats, and Stone Container.

Dara enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, sewing and crafts, remodeling her home, watching the Raiders, and spending time with her family. She was a member of 7th Day Adventist.

Dara was preceded in death by husband, Robert “Rader Bob” Griffin; son, Shawn Griffin; her parents; and a brother, Darrell Roberts.

Survivors include daughter, Jennifer Griffin (Tony Brettingham), of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Andrew, Jenndara and Devin; sisters, Sharon Patching and Linda Traylor.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and public live stream; 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, Pastor Leanna VanZandt Nauman officiating. The Interment will be at the Ashland Cemetery.
