It’s Your Call for Jan. 10

Snow stops everything
I’m in my 60s and I don’t ever remember a snowstorm where we got at least 15-16 inches where it stopped the mail. It stopped the trash pick-up. The snowplows are behind. I don’t ever remember a storm in my 60 years that ever had its effect on the city of Saint Joseph. Now I could be wrong, but I just don’t remember it.
Worried about the bills
I noted in today’s newspaper where it stated there wouldn’t be any mail today for President Carter’s funeral, but our neighborhood has not received mail since last Saturday. I’m sure it’s because of the storm. I’ve called people that live in other areas and their neighborhood hasn’t received any mail either. I was just worried about our bills and hopefully that people will understand if they’re late because we haven’t received any mail in a week.
That old saying
Let me get this right. They raise a postal to the postage cost more to mail a letter, the employees get a raise and we get no mail. What happened to that old saying? Neither rain nor sleet nor snow shall keep this faithful courier from making his rounds.
