Tracking light rain & snow tonight, Sunday sunshine

Light rain and snow will linger across Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas Saturday night, before sunshine returns for Sunday, leading into a warm and windy start to next week.

Mostly cloudy skies Saturday afternoon will give way to a 60% - 70% chance of light rain and snow showers. Light accumulations of up to a dusting are possible before midnight. Overnight lows will fall into the upper 20s by early Sunday morning with clearing skies and northwesterly breezes at 15 - 20 mph.

Sunshine will continue Sunday afternoon, allowing high to reach the low to mid 50s, with northwesterly breezes at 10 to 20 mph.

Mostly sunny skies will remain Monday and Tuesday, with above average temperatures and gusty southerly winds.

A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for much of Northwest Missouri and Northeast Kansas 12 PM - 8 PM Monday.
