Tracking a warm and sunny weekend

Chilly and breezy conditions will prevail across Northwest Missouri Friday night, as a passing cold front brings northerly winds of 15 to 25 mph and a drop in temperatures.

Early evening 40s and mostly cloudy skies will give way to clearing skies and upper 20s after midnight.

A warming trend will be accompanied by abundant sunshine this weekend, with highs reaching the low 50s on Saturday and low 60s by Sunday.

Above average temperatures will build into the start of next week, as southerly winds and mostly sunny skies allow afternoon highs to reach the 70s Monday
