The intersection of Belt and Karnes is open again following a January accident that damaged a traffic signal there.

A Belt Highway intersection is back open a month after a traffic accident that damaged a signal and caused it to close.

Traffic is again allowed through Belt Highway and Karnes Road and signals are functioning. The intersection was closed following a vehicle crash which extensively damaged the traffic signal mast arm over southbound Belt Highway.

Some additional work still needs to be done on the new signals, including lighting and detection.
