Anderson, David A. 1952-2025 St. Joseph, Mo.

David A. Anderson, aged 72, of St. Joseph, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his son and daughter-in-law. He was born on July 28, 1952, in Wilmer, Minnesota, the son of the late LaVonne and Ardell Anderson.

David was a dedicated worker, being one of the starting crew with Blue Side tanning and retiring after 48 years from National Beef as a Machinist. He enjoyed working on projects and keeping busy.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Ann Anderson; his granddaughter, Shania Nicole Wheeler; and his brother, Jerry Anderson.

He is survived by his son, Matt (Lisa) Anderson, of St. Joseph; his daughter, Kim (Shane) Wheeler, of Gower, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Colton Anderson (Tyler Mays), Cody (Heather Schott) Wheeler, and Chloe Wheeler. He also leaves behind his siblings Sue Trant, Lois Beck, Linda (Larry) Albrecht, Judy (Curt) Thornton, Janet (Mark) Davidson, Diane (Francis) Gaume, Stanley Anderson, Donnie Anderson, Scotty Anderson, Lisa Ruud, and Mike (Vickie) Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Rupp Funeral Home. Funeral services and a public live stream will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2025, at the Rupp Funeral Home, with Pastor David Hugger officiating.
