Chiefs fans prepare for battle against the Philadelphia Eagles

The rematch of Super Bowl LVII brings two fan bases back together and local Chiefs fans are sharing their respect for the City of Brotherly Love.
Sara Thompkins' family has held Chiefs season tickets for 37 years and she is looking forward to the game.
"I'm excited about it, they are a really strong team and if you want to be the best you have to play the best," Thompkins said. "They are a super strong team, really well coached so it is going to be a really nice battle I am excited for it."
Over a year ago, Thompkins had the opportunity to go to an Eagles game in person and the life long Chiefs fan proudly wore her red and gold.
"Everyone gave me a little bit of hazing but it was a nice friendly experience," She said. "It was fun, little bantering back and forth."
Giving her prediction about the game, Thompkins said the Chiefs will win but its going to be a tough battle.
Thompkins wasn't the only individual to have experienced the Eagles fandom, Missouri Western State University senior and football player John Fragakis gave his input.
"Hard core fans, those cold winter days where it is an Eagles game," Fragakis said. "They are going out there they say we do not care we are going to watch our team play."
Fragakis expects the Eagles to get a couple of big plays in the game and get in front of the Chiefs at first but it will come down to the wire.
"With the Chiefs they always find a way to win it in the end," He said. "They are a great second half team, they come out of that locker room ready to go. They have a great drive and a great engine when it comes to going at it in the second half of the game."
A local business jumped in on the fun as well.
Alchemy Tea Co. in Downtown St. Joseph created two unique flavors representing each of the teams. The Chiefs drink was a red and yellow color while the Eagles drink was green and white.
Fans were encouraged to order the team drink for what team they think will win Super Bowl LIX and most customers went for the Chiefs drink.
"We sell a lot of the Chiefs drink not so much the Eagles," Alchemy Tea Co. Business Partner Kyle Kirschner said. "The flavor is good... No strictly Eagle fans have come in for a tea."
