Rita Kay Moore, 68, of St. Joseph, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Mosaic Life Care. She was born April 10, 1956, in St. Joseph, daughter of Shirley and George Bonar.
She worked at Heartland East Hospital in Mental Health as a CNA, retiring after 27 years. She enjoyed dancing, fishing and camping. Rita loved her family and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Taylor; father, George Bonar; sisters, Tammy Dumm and Julie Bonar; maternal grandparents, James and Goldie Dragoo; and paternal grandparents, Francis and Mary Bonar.
Survivors include husband, Kenneth Engum of the home; daughter, Janice Cluck (Frank Walker) of St Joseph; siblings, Kim (Charles) Frazer, George Bonar, James Bonar and Roxie (Ricky) Harmon, all of St Joseph; grandchildren, Byron Holdren and Alexis Cluck; brother-in-law, George Dumm; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at the Rupp Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Rupp Funeral Home.
The Interment will be at the Mount Auburn Cemetery.
