Wichita man riding mini motorcycle dies after running stop sign, police say

Dec. 28—A Wichita man died after running a stop sign on a mini motorcycle Saturday morning in east Wichita, police said.

Kevin Wilson, 25, died at the scene.

Police were called at 11:38 a.m. to the two-vehicle crash at Edgemoor and Gilbert. The man, who lived in the area, was traveling east on Gilbert and ran a stop sign and was hit by a the driver of a van headed north on Edgemoor, according to Wichita police spokesperson Juan Rebolledo.

The Wichita man, in his mid-60s, was driving the van for an assisted living community. He stayed at the scene.
