NORTH BENNINGTON CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH

With deep thanksgiving and heartfelt sadness, the North Bennington Congregational Church, UCC announces that it will be closing its doors for worship effective 12/31/2024. This wonderful, sacred worshipping community has been in existence since 1868 and has been served by 20 ministers. The longest tenure by the Rev. Penny Rich Smith, of 28 years. We are grateful that this church has touched many lives in very significant ways, and we are grateful for the privilege to have served God in this community for so many years. The last worship service will be held on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. Blessings to all.

The Sunday after Christmas is a relaxed, come-as-you-are worship service. We sing favorite Christmas carols, often ones suggested by members of the congregation. SCC is a friendly and welcoming congregation, Open and Affirming to all (regardless of age, gender and sexual orientation), and a Green Justice (environmentally aware) congregation. Services are in person at 8 or 10 a.m. On the 5th Sundays and holidays, services are at 9 a.m. Our 9 and 10 a.m. services are also available via zoom.
